Illustration award of NRW
The state of Nordrhein Westfalen has announced the 2 female illustrators who won the 2006 award for female artists in NRW.
This year the award was given to female artists in the field of illustration.
Katrin Funcke has won the main price with a trophy money about 5.000 Euro. Unfortunately there is less information about the second winner Claudia Pütz, who won the second price for the promotion of a young professional. But still there are also other illustrators who have been highly distinguished. The websites which I could find are also worth looking at. There is also some more information on the website of the Illustratoren Organisation e.V.

Clear view
The weekend is near and I'm looking forward to an "Indesign" Workshop in the great city of Neumuenster, yes yes, and long nights with long "sleep-ins" (just created a new english word) and hopefully clear nights like some weeks ago. I'm just glad that I don't have to face banners like Dan, only some little neighbour pop-ups. Although I'm looking forward to seeing Anzac bridge in reality very soon. :)

Nice corporate designs, especially within the media segment, DMC is a full service design agency with a great portfolio and big hits. But this time it's looking good for little David. :)

Line Rider
Ok, after being forced by our server, who needs an update right now, to shut down work for today, it's just fun to make a little game at the end of the day. Line rider developed by a talented slovenian programmer is somehow making addictive. But I'm definitely not going to optimize my drawings like these guys here. I go now.

Black Forest
Geneogen shows very nicely the roots of German family names. (via: Hinterding) Back to the roots, in the depths of the black forest I'm wondering how life could look like if I had grown up there. :)

Ki-Pi-Vi-Fi
= Kiel-Pisa-Vinci-Firenze within 5 days.
New things to learn: Fi-Pi-Li, the name of the highway between Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, the most astonishing shoe shop is run by a crazy guy in Firenze, Firenze is owned by american tourists in September, I definitely can't speak Italian and never say you're are trained before going on a moutain bike tour through the "little" hills of Tuscani.
